I don't know about you, but I am REALLY ready for spring. Here, in the mountains of North Idaho, we still have two feet of snow on the ground, and it is snowing as we speak. I do see bits of hope under the cedar trees. Little green heads are peeking out of the ground, but no outside Easter egg hunt for us this year.
That' okay, I know that spring is on its way and that outdoor adventures will soon be in full force.
Although the winters are long and cold here, the summers are absolutely wonderful. They are definitely worth the wait.
Speaking of the outdoors, what are your plans for the warmer weather? We are preparing for fun times with family and friends. BBQs, fellowship, games, hiking, quiet talks...
There is something magical about stepping into a garden nook, whether it be a cozy porch, a comfy chair tucked under a shady spot or a table for two in amongst a flower garden. One of our projects this early spring season, has been to create a new outdoor "room" in the form of a gazebo.
Imagine a covered nook to sit and relax with a cup of coffee and a good book. Enjoy tranquil solitude whilst taking in your surroundings. This outdoor retreat can also be "the place to meet" a special friend and spouse or a perfect gathering place for family and friends. A great spot for entertaining and making memories as well.
I plan on using ours as a haven for gaining a fresh perspective each morning. A sort of "room" for reflection, inspiration and planning my day. ( at least in the warmer weather) I also hope to share food and fellowship here this summer with my family. A spot for creating laughter and fun times.
So, here's to warmer weather, enjoying the out-of-doors and especially family!
